The rain was falling down from the air as was there no filter. The streets was full of water and Bjørn and I was in a Taxi on our way to de Airport in Bangkok. But when we where ready to check in at the airport to Kuala Lumpur, was there something I was missing, something important!
I was clapping my pockets, and then the panic started slowly to come. “I have lost my wallet in the cap!” I did said to Bjørn, just before I ran out to the place where we were dropped of by the taxi, but off cause it was long gone…
There where nothing to do, my wallet was gone! I got on skype and called my bank to block my Visa Card, just before we where bordering the plain. A good experience in Bangkok have just changed to a sad ending, especially, because I had my Driven license in my Wallet, a license I wouldn’t like to be without especially taking in consideration, that my journey had just begone.
Requests is tigging in
I was in the elevator to 22nd floor of Sunway Tower. It is Tuesday the 28th of June, and I got an appointment at the Embassy to apply for a new driven license which they should send to the Mexican Embassy, since it takes 5-6 weeks to produce, and I would be in Mexico a few weeks later.
While I am waiting for the elevator, is friends request from people living in Bangkok ticking in at Facebook, and even calls a coming, all with one conclusion: “people are looking for you in Bangkok”.
It terns out that the Kate, drove with the same taxi driver who had driven Bjørn and I to the airport and since she both can speak Thai and English, he ask her what to do with the wallet? for which she said “give it to me, and I will send it to him”. - Therefore she posted a commentary at Facebook, that she was looking for me and after some hours with help from her friends they contacted me, so I could contact her.
Today, after some miles around the world I have received my wallet and driven license her in Bournemouth, after some help from Kate’s sister Jane Michael, who she meet with in Brussels last week, and who have forwarded the wallet to me, since she is living in the UK.
Ceremony at the airport

Not only have I been relieved that my wallet and driven license where found, most of all, I have been pleased for the hornets Taxi Driver, kept my wallet until he could give it to Kate, who he trusted and who could one way or another get in contact with me. I haven’t had the change to personally say thank you to the driver but the 29th of June Turist Police made a ceremony for him in the Airport, where Kate thanked him on my behalf.
Before my visit to Bangkok I wasn’t sure if I believed in Karma. But after my experience by loosing my Wallet in the taxi I have started to believe in it, thanks to the honest Taxi Driver and to Kate Masterson.
