Four friends one Mountain – Cerro de la Silla

It is Sunday morning. It is 7 am when, Mads, Alexander Johan and I are getting into the taxi. The direction is the Mountain Cerro de la Silla from where Monterrey can be seen at the top. When we got out of the taxi do we have to walk a few hundred meters before we are coming to the starting point. Even though it is early is there already full of people. Some are ready to get up, while others already are on their way back. It is Sunday, which means a family day here in Mexico. We wants to reach the top before it is getting to farm, as the other days where it has been cloudy in the morning but at 11 am was the sun getting through and usually we reach 40 degrees in the next hours.

We hit off with four liters of water to each of us and sandwiches so we can survive the hike. The sweat is fast starting to run from down my head, it’s getting warmer. Some people are even running down the mountains with there phone play music so we all can hear it. After nearly 40 minutes walking can we see a platform from where we can hear music. When we get closer can we see a lot of people. We are just in the sky so the view is limited, but around 20 people are following an instructor and doing a form of a dance/workout. When Johan and Alexander see this, is it just a matter of seconds before they are fallowing the others.

The tourist attraction

After the dance/workout and some water are we ready to continue. The tempo is good and we can after a wile see the top of the mountains on the other side. We still can’t see Monterrey since the skies still are laying like a duvet over Monterrey. The road is getting harder and we are walking with percentages of up to around 30 digress. Finally after less than two ours are we at the top. The view at the top of Cerro de la Silla is prize-less. Right know can only the top of the mountains be seen but as the time passes the skies are opening up and Monterrey appears. When we are getting ready to head back down the Mountains, are we becoming centrum, when a Mexican girl are asking if she may take a photo of use and before we notice is there three more who wants a photo with us. Especial Johan with his Swedish blond hear is taking extra attention.
